I’m an entrepreneur and Vintage Idols isn’t my first business. I’ve been running my other business a salon, for over 15 years. The salon had reached a stage where it was doing really well and it was more or less ticking along by itself. I found myself with more time to think about what’s next. I’m quite a driven person and I like to do new things and embrace change, I had room to do something more but whatever it was, I wanted it to be something that was built around my passion for style and entrepreneurial spirit. With the purchase of my first designer bag, an idea was born.

I was away with friends when I saw a designer bag boutique and I was intrigued by one particular bag with beautiful coloured roses on it. I didn’t always buy designer, I come from a normal household and buying designer items just wasn’t something anyone in my family did. I had recently read an article about how some designer bags can really hold their value and be a financial investment. The whole idea ticked a lot of boxes for me. I loved the quality of the bags and it felt so good to own one. I work hard and I believe it’s important to be good to ourselves, and while the bags are expensive, the fact that they are an investment really made the purchase worthwhile in every sense.
